It was an Evening Saturday we Came to Brihadeeswara Temple Thanjavur One of the Final Temple Series after Kumbakonam Temple Series the Time we Reached was @ 4:45 pm we Reached the Temple at Evening there was a Lots of Crowd Due to Event In Temple, the Climate was Sunny Evening the SunLight Hitting the Top of Brihadeeswara Temple " Gopuram" and From Parking as a Bhaktan For Lord Shiva," I Explored in BareFoot From Parking to Inside its around 2km to Reach the Full temple... " The Surrounding was " Hot and Vehicles Sound all around the Place and we have to Cross the Road and reach the Temple...Entrance Lots of People were Moving and Coming Inside and Outside the Temple " We took a pic In front of The Temple...
The View at the Entrance was Like this which was the Gopuram and its Design were Wonderful to Start in the Right Hand Side we Could Find Few Shops Like Puja Products and Items were Sold @ the Right Hand Side of the Temple... and on the Left-Hand Side of the Temple we Saw Parking for Two Wheelers and Ticket Counter... and Passing on through the Entrance we See our First Gopuram after Entrance one.... which was Like This From Below.....
The Next Gopuram which is around 500Meters From the First one and Passing Inside " Police Checking and Ticket Checking By Temple Officials and Govt Staffs and walking Towards the Center Temple and we saw a Huge Nandi Statue which was at the Start of the Brihadeeswara Temple and Beautiful Surrounding and also the Places were Made with Architecture Design Dravidian Architecture and it was Created By Raja Raja Chola I and the Temple was Constructed in 1010 AD and its Inscriptions were Tamil, Sanskrit, Marata ... the Pillars were Made of Stones and Both on the Left Side and Right Side which was Wonderful to watch and Climbing the Nandi Statue Temple " Did Puja to Nandi Temple " and Seeing the Gopuram of the Brihadeeswara Temple which was Like this From Nandi Temple with The Difficult one I shot this Pic the View From Nandi Temple In the Center of Brihadeeshwara Temple...
the Climate was Sunny and Light hitting the Top of Gopuram and wonderful View From Nandi Temple The One Side of the Gopuram which was amazing with Sky Touching was Cool and Moving Down From the Nandi Temple and Going Towards the Brihadeeshwara Temple "Climbing the Steps which were Stone Steps...and From the Entrance, the queue Started there was Puja Going on in the Temple "During a Special Event for Shiva " The Devotees of Lord Shiva were Singing Slokas and Made Huge ShivLinga with Flowers which were wonderful to watch while Standing in the queue...and Moving on Slowly and on the Right side we Could See the Horse and God Statue Made in Stone and Beautifully Painted and on the Left Hand Side we Could see ShivLinga Made with Beautiful Flowers and Shell... and which was Wonderful Attracted the Visitors Attention which was Made on Special Events "Masa Shivarathri on Ammavasai " Time so it was Huge Event where Devotees of Shiva were Signing Slokas and Women Devotees were Signing Slokas and with Fasting and the Preparations for Masa Shivarathri was Taking Place and The Queue was Moving Slowly and we were Waiting....and Minutes Passed By the Time was Moving in Clock Tik Tik Sound and One Minutes of Complete Silent and Guru Ji was Coming From the Temple to Perform Puja and in Next Few Minutes People Started to Say Slokas Line By Line with Guru Ji even We also Told... and Even Guru Ji was Telling to Come Forward and Take Puja Special Prasadam " Sweet Pongal and Sugar Stone Sweet the Stone Sweet which is Also Called "KalSakrai"in Tamil Which is Sweety and Tasty Prasadam which we Had @ Brihadeeshwara Temple "Done Puja and Got Blessing From God and Had Kungkum and Vebodi " and Coming Out From the BackSide of Temple "Getting Down and we Move towards the BackSide of the Temple the View of Temple From Backside Which was Wonderful to Watch...
The Temple Gopuram From Behind the Beautiful Architecture which was wonderful to watch and Looking the View from Down was Amazing and Wonderful Climate Conditions which was Changing as Day Moves on Wonderful to Experience the Cold Wind... and Next we Visited the Ganapathi Temple which was Behind the Main Temple we Had Got Blessing also and also on the Other Side of the Temple we Could See 108 ShivaLinga and also we Saw Few Inscriptions which were Written on the Walls of Temple which were Written when the Temple was Built 1010 AD which were Realistic Walls and Next we Saw a Separate Shivalingas and also u are Not Allowed on the Other Side of the Temple Bcoz of Security Reason... and after Seeing The ShivaLingas and we Moved on on the Inscriptions Written In Tamil in the Wall of Temple there were Lots in each and Every Place of the wall there was Tamil Inscriptions which were Visible and Brihadeeswara Temple Look From Other Side of The Building was Like this...
The Side View of the Temple Which was amazing to Watch and Wonderful View I had the View of Gopuram and Temple Architecture was Underwork Like Repainting was Under Progress which was Taking Place and Even Few Birds were Flying @ the Top of Gopuram which was Wonderful to watch and Blue Sky the Temperature was Cool amazing time we Experience @ Brihadeeswara Temple...
we Started Our Return Journey From the Temple the time was around 6:00 pm in the Evening the Time to Get to Exit was a Bit Crowded and Minutes Passed by we are Reaching the Exit of Brihadeeshwara Temple and we are Back at the Temple Entrance and Called Our Driver anna and we are Coming Back to Home and Hence we Returned Via Train Hence it was a wonderful Journey to Be Remembered the Wonderful Time we had During the Temple Visit and there was Lucky an Event in the Temple During Our Visit we Did Puja and also Got Blessing From God...The Things that I Learnt from this Journey is Very Interesting and Informative About Temple and also about the Inscriptions written on the temple wall and its History which were Wonderful to Learn and Explore and Hence see u all in another Travel Experience of My un till then Baye Baye...
